Philanthropy is a strong component in our offering and it has seen us develop socially responsible projects tailored to cities’ individual needs, such as joining forces with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Music Therapy department, a renowned Milan Hospital for the Elderly as well as an Orphanage for young immigrants, where the magic of opera serves as a fun teaching tool for Italian language and culture to facilitate integration.

Italian Opera embodies our most significant values over the last 500 years and is one of the most complete art forms. Opera Italiana is in the Air’s aim is to preserve this heritage, which was always popular music until 70 years ago and is now at risk of disappearing due to ineffective communication and marketing.

Youth-education development is consequential. Involving young talent will also attract a young audience creating a virtuous cycle. At the same time, young talents will have the unique opportunity to perform along with well established stars both as orchestral members and singers.

BACKGROUND

Opera Italiana is in the Air was created in 2017 in Central Park, New York, from a conversation between Daniele Bodini, Chairman of the FIAC Foundation, and Alvise Casellati, Conductor and former Secretary of FIAC.

Since then, its success has been exponential and it has expanded from Central Park, New York to the cities of Washington and Miami and to Italy: Naples, Milan and Rome.

Opera Italiana is in the Air has become an unmissable annual event.

Maestro Casellati obtained an international trademark for it registered in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea and Japan until 2031.

People of all ages and cultures who are not familiar with this art will immediately fall in love with it!
